Steam update - Audiosurf and Half-Life 1: Source Deathmatch - Image 1Good news to faithful fans of Audiosurf and the original Half-Life! Steam has just updated both features recently. Both updates will sure be able to improve your gaming experience.

The update on Audiosurf will be easily applied once the Steam client is restarted. Included in this update are the addition of news to the preload screen, several textures that are now moddable, and Radio Browser web links.

In addition to this, the Source Deathmatch for HL1 have been updated as well. Just like Audiosurf, changes to the game will be implemented when the client is restarted. Here’s are some of the updates that were made:

  • Fixed a very common HL1MP crash bug in the gauss gun
  • Fixed missing flesh_break1.wav file (used a physics sound from hl2)
  • Made zoom_sensitivity_ratio default to 0.3
  • If mp_teamplay is 0, report “Deathmatch” to master server instead of “Teamplay”
  • Fixed busted mp_teamlist using ; as a separator which can’t be typed into the console
  • Tracks team scores with mp_teamplay 1 so mp_fraglimit causes round to end correctly
  • Fixed game_text (and hud messages in general) not showing up
