Stock Trader Shun meets DS

The DS has become one of the most popular platforms for snappy games and practical apps these days. Homebrew developers would get city maps downloaded in the DS, allowing you to have some sort of guide whenever you’re visiting, say, the Beijing metro. The DS also has become a medium for foreign language translation, and even as electronic aid in Tokyo art exhibitions. And just recently, Capcom dishes out another game/app combo that works this side of Tokyo Stock Exchange.

It’s what they call the Stock Trader Shun, better known as Kabushiki Baibai Trainer Kabutore. It’s a game, yes, but it comes handy in case you’re out to experience the art of real world trading. Shun Aiba is the main character that has to undergo stock trading lessons and battles with the help of Toru Narasaki.

The game features action-based trading mode and cut-in animation scenes. Sure, it’s not your regular smash-pop-whack battle, because it’s really a game for the softcore brainiac. You have goals, you earn new Trading Arts that you can buy in the Trading Shop, just like Wall Street traders do in real life.

We haven’t heard announcements for a U.S. release on the Stock Trader Shun, but rumors say it’s likely. Meanwhile, keep checking back in case we got hold of anything worthwhile for every DS fan to know.
