Stolen Wii brings friends together: friends pitch in for stolen console

Last week, Hakkerjak’s home was broken into and he found his Wii, along with four complete Wiimote and Nunchuk sets, two classic controllers, his DS and around twenty DVDs stolen. After calling the police, it was assumed that kids broke into his home considering the only things missing were the video game consoles and the DVDs.

After calling the police, it was assumed that kids broke into his home considering the only things missing were the video game consoles and the DVDs.

The Saturday after he was pleasantly surprised to find a brand new Wii console sitting in front of his TV. Apparently, his two best friends went around and asked for donations from their other friends and relatives for a replacement Wii that they bought from a Walmart the night before.

Despite the distress video game related crime incidents bring, reading stuff like this sure gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling. Which poses a personal question: “Would my own friends buy me a new Wii if mine got stolen?”
