20th Century Fox failed to cash in on the love of gamers for Street Fighter IV (PS3, 360). The Legend of Chun-Li movie struck an overwhelming disappointment with moviegoers this weekend.
How bad? Let’s just say that three of Uwe Boll’s movies beat its opening gross. And that’s without adjustments for inflation. Even the original Van Damme Street Fighter movie beat it. The Legend of Chun-Li grossed US$ 4.65 million for its opening weekend. Not a total bust of course, but come on. I at least hoped that Kristin Kreuk would pull in the fanboys.
In case you were wondering, the three Uwe Boll movies are “In the Name of the King,” “Alone in the Dark,” and “House of the Dead.”
Now. Will anyone care to wager how Dragonball: Evolution will go?
