Grasshopper Manufacture‘s head honcho Goichi “Suda 51” Suda has high hopes for No More Heroes lead Travis Touchdown. He even wants the beam katana wielding assassin/otaku to make an appearance in the next Smash Bros. game.

“I love him and I want him to be a huge star,” he told Nintendo Power. “That’s why I’m working very hard to make this game (No More Heroes 2) as interesting as possible. Maybe in the future, we can see him fighting alongside Link in the next Smash Bros. That would be great.”

It seems a bit weird in light of his recent statements about the No More Heroes series jumping ship, but hey, when was the last time a Metal Gear Solid game was on a Nintendo console? Solid Snake still made it in. Of course, he’s like huge. As cool as Travis is, he’s got a lot of work to do.
