Super Mario Bros. 2 and Mach Rider coming to VC this week
What’s in store for you guys this week on Nintendo‘s Virtual Console? A couple of NES classics, actually. Super Mario Bros. 2 and Mach Rider are up for grabs to blast you to the past with these late-80’s titles.
Yup, with all the Mario remakes and expansions we have floating around today, we’re sure there’s a part of you that’s still yearning for the good ol’ gang of 16-bit Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad. In this outing, the gang squares off with the evil tyrant Wart in the land of Subcon.
Meanwhile, Mach Rider, a 1987 debutante, is set in the futuristic 2112, when our dear planet has been invaded by evil quad bikers out to demolish everything. Why would they want to do that? We have no idea. But it was a cool game, then, and having it back up on Virtual Console will definitely remind us well why it was such a hit.
Both games are available on the Virtual Console for 500 Wii Points.
