Super Paper Mario for the Wii sells 1.25 million copies to date

 

If you’ve played Super Paper Mario on the Wii, then you’ll probably attest to how awesome it is. Apparently, you’re not alone, as a Japanese trade journal called Nihon Kogyo Shimbun has revealed that Nintendo has sold 1.25 million copies of the game.

What’s even more amazing is the fact that 500,000 of those sales are coming from Japan, and the PAL version hasn’t been released yet.

In retrospect, Super Paper Mario did get off to a great start, selling 350,000 copies in the month of April and has joined the top five best sellers on the NPD sales charts.

With the impending release PAL release, it’s pretty safe to say that the numbers will be climbing a little more. By how much, we can’t say but we’ll be sure to give you more on this as it happens.
