Super Paper Mario to be released in VC?
The journey Super Paper Mario took has been an exciting one. Not exactly troubled, but it was interesting to say the least. It would be remembered that the game was originally slated for GameCube, but Nintendo eventually decided against it and moved it to its next-gen console. This time, the N64 Paper Mario follow-up has taken yet another interesting turn.
Don’t expect to see Super Paper Mario on April 9 in your favorite retail stores. Nope, the game isn’t delayed but it will not be released in disc form, according to reports from gaming site Kotaku. If you really want this game, head over to the Virtual Console and download it there.
To be quite frank with you, we’ve always thought that this was going to be a retail game, with a box art and all. We wonder what’s up with this move by Nintendo. Oh well, we guess we’ll all find out in the coming days. But now we’d like to ask you, how would you like a downloadable Wii title? Would there be any difference at all if Super Paper Mario end up in VC?
