Super Puzzle Fighter II THDR, Bomberman Live add-on in XBLA’s next update
Gamers hankering for more online game fun should look forward to the following goodies coming their way to the Xbox Live Arcade: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and an add-on pack for Bomberman Live.
Previously released as a pack of Xbox Dashboard themes, Super Puzzle Fighter II THDR now is a bonafide downloadable game from XBLA, priced at 800 Microsoft Points (US$ 10). The game will feature redrawn images and graphics, now rendered in sweet 1080p HD. All new character portraits will also be used in the game, courtesy of Udon Entertainment.
As for the Bomberman Live add-on pack (worth 250 Microsoft Points or US$ 3.13), 10 new characters will join the fray, with some of them bearing kooky names such as “Little Bomby Foo Foo” and “Rocky Bomboa”. More goodies in the form of two new levels, and a new game mode are added. The all-new “Frag” mode lets players pre-set the number of enemies that they need to eliminate to win the game.
The above downloadable content will be made available on this Wednesday’s XBLA update. If you have any spare points (or spare dough, for that matter), it wouldn’t hurt to check out these classics.
