Apparently those characters with wings don’t just have them for show. Players might want to take some gliding lessons with these frequent fliers to save them from an unwanted fall in Nintendo‘s upcoming fighting fest of a game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Characters like Pit, Meta Knight and the Pokemon Trainer’s Charizard can make use of their wings to glide across the battlefield and increase their air time or even initiate a dive bombing-style of attack. Gliding seems easy enough – just hold down the jump button after doing a midair jump. You can also make use of the Control Stick to tilt the angle of your flight.

While this may seem like an unfair advantage for those with wings, it isn’t exactly perfect. A crafty opponent will force the flier into a compromising position in battle so as to make him stall in mid-flight or even take an open shot at them when they have their wings out.

This definitely opens up a new game dynamic for the game that players will definitely want to master. So as usual, stay tuned for more updates for the game.
