Super Smash Bros. Brawl NA video: Ike fights for his friends

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Image 1Wondering just what the North American version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl sounds like? Then head on over to the full article as we all get an earful of how some of the characters will sound come the game’s release date – and trust us, this is one sound trip you won’t be forgetting for quite a long time. Oh, Ike, we knew we could count on you, old friend! The video at the full article.

While we’re all counting down to the North American release date of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, here’s something that should make the wait just a bit more bearable: a sneak peek at the game’s sound testing feature, where we get to hear quite a few choice sound bites. You might want to turn the volume up in order to get the maximum enjoyment out of these clips, as they are pretty much priceless.

So just what do we hear in this video? Rather than get our blood pumping with orchestrated Nintendo tunes, we instead get treated to the voice clips of some of the characters – namely, Fox, MetaKnight, Pit, Ike and Falco. And yes, they’re in fully-intelligible English. Yay for localization! *snorts* (Ed. note: Tee hee!)

Our favorite? While MetaKnight definitely bleeds awesome in that Darth Vader-ish baritone of is, we have to give props to Ike and his spirited declaration of him fighting for his friends. Timestamp 1:39 in the video is where it’s at. Trust us, you have to hear it to believe it.

Enjoy the video!
