Super Smash Bros. Brawl sells 500,000 units on Japan launch date?
Japanese blogger Sinobi posted some supposedly leaked sales numbers from Famitsu which revealed that over 500,000 Super Smash Bros. Brawl units were sold during the Japan launch date. If the numbers are accurate, then we may be looking at the fastest-selling Wii game in Japan.

Japanese blogger Sinobi has allegedly gotten hold of some leaked sales numbers from Famitsu which revealed that Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl sold 500,000 copies in Japan on its first day.
If the information is accurate, then it means that 80% of the initial stock of Super Smash Bros. Brawl has already been purchased by gamers from that region.
This would also mean that this game is now the fastest-selling Wii game in Japan. It’s interesting to note that this report can explain the shortage of the video game in the country
It was pretty much expected that Super Smash Bros. Brawl would be posting some pretty amazing sales numbers when it came out in Japan. We’re going to have to wait for the official numbers to come in before we confirm this report.
