Super Smash Bros. Brawl update: Meowth, Wiimote controls, E for All
We have three new updates for you today about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, courtesy of the official Smash Bros. DOJO! website. The first one is the standard character profile featuring the Pokemon Meowth and the other one is about the control schemes. Most important of all, Nintendo has some big announcements for the game in relation to the E for All event.
Before we get to the beefy ones, let’s begin this post with Meowth. Despite being a major Pokemon, this character didn’t appear in Melee. But this time, players can to control him in Brawl and what a match it’s going to be to see this scratch cat go up against the Pokemon trainer.
The Entertainment for All Expo will be taking place tomorrow (October 18) in Los Angeles. Smash Bros. DOJO! mentioned that the game will be playable in the event. This should give fans something to chew on especially now that the North American release date of Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been pushed back to February 10 next year.
Those who are planning to try the game at the event and purchase a copy should take note that they can use four types of controllers with this game. They can go with the full Wiimote–Nunchuk combination, just the Wiimote, the classic Wii controller, as well as GameCube controller.

- +Control Pad: Move
- Press left or right to walk and press up to jump.
- If you’re in a real hurry, press twice. Press left or right twice to run and press down for a short time to fall through some floors

- 1 Button: Special Moves
- The direction you press will determine what kind of special move you do
- B Button: Shield
- This is in a kind of hard-to-press area, but the button for your shield is near your left index finger
- To dodge, hold down the B Button and press in a direction
- To grab, hold down the B Button and press the 2 Button
- To throw an item, hold down the B Button and press the 2 Button
- A Button: Taunt
