Super Smash Bros. Brawl update: The Subspace Army
In this update, we find out that Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl is not only about mindless fisticuffs: the game also features a storyline titled “The Subspace Emissary”, where Mario, Link and Co. will encounter the formless enemies called the Subspace Army. Why are they called the Subspace Army? That’s because they plan to send the world little by little into Subspace, using powerful bombs that can blow up the world into chunks and send them into…well, subspace.
Pictured above are the Primids, who are the Army’s miniature soldiers of destruction and whose sole mission is to cut the world into pieces to send into Subspace. They are led by the Ancient Minister, who is shown in the video dropping a bomb into the arena.
They certainly are a a big threat to the Brawlers, not to mention the entire world. Will the World be saved from these nefarious creatures? There’s one way to find out, and that’s by playing the game once it’s released.
