It’s been a while since we had a Super Smash Brothers Brawl update about the new stages you’ll be smashing and bashing your buddies’ heads in, and seemingly on cue, the Smash Brothers Dojo website went ahead and gave one.

Here’s a dose of cuteness Nintendo DS and Gamecube owners will definitely enjoy – the Smashville stage, themed after the the irresistibly-adorable world of Animal Crossing! But it’s not just another cute level bursting with eye candy, however.

One of the neat things about the Smashville stage is that it matches its own “time” with the Wii’s internal clock – which means, if you’re playing at night, the Smashville stage will be dark. If you’re playing early in the morning, then the sun will be shining on Smashville as you try and smash the other players to pieces.

Plus, the game’s famous NPCs will also make their appearances in the stage, watching the ensuing chaos at a relatively-safe distance. Cooler and cooler updates indeed. We don’t know about you, but this is making us want the game even more – the game’s release date can’t come soon enough!
