Housemarque, the Finnish development studio behind Super Stardust HD, has revealed that they currently have three new game IPs in the works. The studio also plans to try their hand at self-publishing with one of their new IPs, Rope.

Rope is described as a physics-based puzzle solving game. Players attach a ropey avatar to various objects and try to get a group of characters to reach the goal. Housemarque hopes to publish Rope next year. It’s already been greenlighted for a PSN release, and Housemarque is also shopping it to Microsoft. iPhone and WiiWare releases are also being considered.

Apart from Rope, Housemarque is also working on a new PSN-exclusive game that’s set to be announced in August during GamesCom 2009. The third game in the studio’s current slate of projects is a multiplatform title for “a leading publisher”.

According to the studio’s CEO and co-founder Ilari Kuittinen, both the PSN exclusive and the multiplatform title will “something different from the past. We havenÂ’t done this kind of a game genre before.”
