Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix: online details, more
So enough with the character art and gameplay footage – that only lasted a minute! – it’s time to know what’s what in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Some of you may already know a couple of these, but as a refresher course, here are the full details for the game.
First off, the game will be faithful to the original, only upgraded with new sprites and will be able to support resolutions up to 1080p. You’ll also be able to choose a 4:3 screen ratio for the good ‘ol classic feel. All 17 characters from the original Super Street Fighter II Turbo will appear, including M. Bison and Akuma.
What’s Street Fighter without competition? You’ll be able to face with the CPU or with a human opponent in an online or offline battle. Online battles will also have in-game voice chats and flexible options for matchmaking. Also, in the tradition of arcade games, four spectators can buy into an on-going battle using a “virtual quarter.”
Last but not least, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will feature worldwide rankings and leaderboards by character and country. The charts will track overall wins and losses, number of throws, perfects, highest combos and others.
