TA-088v3 pre-IPL hacked?

A hacker going by the name BrokenCodes has claimed to have found a way to hack the TA-088v3 motherboard’s pre-IPL encryption. Now, why is this important? Basically, as Dark AleX explains it, once hackers are able to crack this protection, the security on TA-088v3 will “go down TOTALLY”.

Great, great news from the land of homebrew.  A hacker going by the name BrokenCodes has claimed to have found a way to hack the TA-088v3 motherboard’s pre-IPL encryption.

Now, why is this important? Basically, as Dark AleX explains it, once hackers are able to crack this protection, the security on TA-088v3 PSPs will “go down TOTALLY”. You can read about it here.

Anyway, BrokenCodes’ code is still incomplete, but based on Dark AleX’s reaction to his posts, we could be looking at a huge leap forward in hacking the TA-0883v3 motherboard.
