While there’s certainly some grind to contend with in any MMO, one specific element helps us get through all the tedium. What’s that, you ask? Why that’s the roleplaying part of the game of course! And to remind us all that it doesn’t hurt getting into character once in a while is the AFS Memorial – a solemn ceremony to be held by the roleplayers in Richard Garriott‘s Tabula Rasa by NCsoft.

So, what’s this memorial going to be about? It’s pretty much an event to honor the lives lost during the Bane’s invasion of Earth. Here’s an excerpt from the website:

On December 21st, 2012 life changed, we changed. The Bane took away our homes, our loved ones, and our comfortable lives. But we have not given up; we have not laid down and surrendered.

Let us not forget what we have lost, and those who we left behind. Let us remember our purpose, our goals, and what we are fighting for. Let us put our differences aside, and stand together as one in remembrance.

Definitely something to look forward to. And with General British and Sarah Morrison making their appearance in the event itself, it’s definitely one for the AFS history books.
