What we have for you here today is another Screenshot of the Week offering for MMORPG Richard Garriott’s Tabula Rasa. For those who haven’t been paying attention to these updates, take note that these are rather important as they explain the game in terms of its lore, characters, and items.

For this week, NCsoft decided to showcase an enemy unit called Thrax Machina. Little is known about this particular unit and even NCsoft describes it as “Who could be creating such monstrosities? In this week’s screenshot, we give you a rare glimpse of horrors to come. The enemy has a new face, just maybe not one you expected.”

Well, if we are to let our mind go wild and wonder, there are enemy units called Thrax Soldiers. They are bipedal and are similar in size to humans. Their body type is mostly biological in nature but they sport metal and thick-scale armoring enhancement. The weapons they use include Bane-created rocket launchers, rifles, and pistols.

If you are to visit the official website for Tabula Rasa, you will find that the specialized attack section for Thrax Soldiers is still labeled as classified. We wouldn’t be surprised if the monstrosity known as the Thrax Machina is a specialized variation of the soldier.

Also, it is worth mentioning that the Bane busies itself as well with scientific research and are known to come up with hybrids and bio-engineering wonders. The Thrax Machina also fits well into that category.
