Take that! Uwe Boll charged with libel, to pay US$ 2.1-million fine
Oh well, it’s not an outright ban from making videogame movies, but I suppose this will do (for now). See, biting the hand that feeds you gets you slapped back with bad karma. In this case, karma comes in the form of a US$ 2.1 million fine – and as a judge ruled this week, it’s coming from Uwe Boll‘s pocket. Lesson learned: don’t send hateful emails about the company distributing your (universally tragic) films.

After bad-mouthing Fantastic Films International – the very film distributor handling his movies – Uwe Boll is now facing a libel case, with a judge’s ruling of a fine. The story goes that Boll was sending out emails to Fantastic Films’ various clients, criticizing the company. Of course, upper management got wind, and slapped him with a case.
The amount of US$2.1 million includes the US$ 200,000 to be imparted to the Fantastic Films owner, Roxane Barbat.
