Tales of Pirates: server maintenance adds new patch, events

The servers for IGG‘s Tales of Pirates were shut down for a couple of hours for the regular maintenance. While waiting for the game to be fixed, the community managers held a small contest on the forums called The Smartest Pirate.

Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of maintenance! Yup, the servers for IGG‘s Tales of Pirates were down for a couple of hours. This was done for the regular maintenance and, more importantly, to make way for a new patch.

If you regularly play the game, you might want to log in to check out all the changes that were done to the different NPCs.

While waiting for the servers to go back online, the players were treated to a forum event called The Smartest Pirate. The rules were simple, identify a specific object using the clues given out by the administrators. Judging from the posts on the forums, everyone had a grand time playing. Perhaps other MMORPG companies might want to follow IGGs example and start holding their own contests during downtime.
