Tales of Rebirth PSP scan from Famitsu surfaces, March 19 release set
It’s been a while since Namco Bandai announced Tales of Rebirth‘s port on the Sony PlayStation Portable, and we’re happy that its March 19 release date for Japan is right around the corner. If you still haven’t caught wind of it, a scan from Famitsu with all the details and screens is at the full article.
Fans of Namco Bandai‘s Tales series would go as far as importing installments that never reach the west. For them, here’s a scan of Tales of Rebirth‘s reiteration on the Sony PlayStation Portable. It wasn’t exactly the best looking PS2 title when it first came out, but it looks nice as a game for the handheld.
Veigue Lungberg and his colorful crew are back, and it seems they’ll still be fighting the same way as they did on the console. The Famitsu scan is loaded with details pertaining to the game, so you’d learn what Tales of Rebirth has to offer if your radar haven’t picked it up since its first release back in 2004. That’s if you can read Japanese, of course.
Namco Bandai pegged March 19 as the day this Tales will hit shelves. It’s not certain if Tales of Rebirth will ever see release in North America and Europe. The reason why its PS2 version never went out of the Land of the Rising Sun is said to be because 2D-style RPGs aren’t well embraced in the west, but the PSP incarnation shipping west doesn’t seem unlikely. After all, Square Enix’ ports of classic titles such as Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth were successful.
