Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk screens: characters and battle system

If you’re itching to get more information on Namco Bandai‘s Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk, here it is. We were able to catch the latest batch of screenshots with a whopping 13 screen captures and eight character artworks, and even additional information about the battle system..

If you simply can’t wait anymore, here’s our update. Not only were we able to get these character photos and screenshots, but we also managed to dig up even more information regarding the battle system for Namco Bandai‘s Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk.

There are eight new character photos in this set. We’re just not entirely sure if they will all be playable in the game. But we’ll be sure to keep digging around for more info on that, dont’ worry.

As for the battle system, Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk will be employing the fighting system used by Tales of the Abyss. During battle sequences, small spots will appear that have specific elemental attributes such as earth, water, fire, wind, ice, lightning, light and darkness. These elemental spots can be used to your advantage in delivering devastating attacks to your enemies.

Aside from the elements, a new “hiring” feature is also introduced. Defeated monsters can be hired but you won’t be able to directly control them as they will be automatically controlled by the system. The recruited monsters’ actions will be affected by the items and equipment you are using.
