Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend now ongoing

Here’s some good news for those gamers looking for freebies and bargains. Valve Corporation has announced a free play event for the PC version of Team Fortress 2 over the weekend. Find out more after the jump.

Along with the release of the new Steam client comes another announcement that’s sure to tickle your fancy… if you’re fancy happens to be shooting virtual people on your computer. The folks at Valve Corportation have announced that a Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend event is now ongoing, and everyone can join in the fun.

As the name states, Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend allows Steam users to play the full version of Team Fortress 2 (also on Xbox 360 and PS3) for free over the weekend on your computer. This includes the content available in the  recently-released Goldrush update. This free weekend event is available to Steam account holders worldwide, so there’s no reason to back out of this wonderful freebie. Just sign up, try out the game for the weekend, and have fun!

As always though. there is one thing you have to remember, and that’s the duration of this cool promotion. The Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend ends on Sunday, May 4th at 1p.m. PDT. If you want to get your game on, you’d better join in ASAP!
