As usual, Steam continues to show solid support to everyone playing Valve Corporation‘s Team Fortress 2 from The Orange Box (Microsoft Xbox 360, PC) on PC. Just recently, a new update has gone live to settle a few issues with the Source Engine, fix most headache-inducing bugs and exploits in the Hydro and Granary maps, and give SourceTV some love.
New nifty features like indicating the number of seconds remaining before you auto-disconnect when the “WARNING: Connection Problem” appears were added to The Source Engine. The painful bug in networking that forced players to fully update because of hiccups is also gone.
After the automatic update, you won’t hear about spectators watching the match without joining a team. Another exploit on the Hydro map that allows players to jump beyond the map’s boundaries has been removed. On the other hand, the Granary map received aesthetic and balance tweaks to further improve the team matches on said map.
The changes applied on SourceTV generally improved overall performance of the service. For the full changelog of Team Fortress 2‘s latest update, head over to Steam’s official website via link below.
