Teaser Video Hints at A New Sony Ultra Portable

Sony has been quietly running a teaser video for the past few days over at the Sony VAIO website. Bits of information are added each day, all of which hint that a new Sony ultra-portable device could soon see the light of day. Looking at the URL, the flash video indicates that the ad campaign is called “AR_UX teaser”. If you would recall, the UX model designation was used in the now defunct Sony Clie PDA line.  Also, the device in the video snippets has a fingerprint reader and Motion Eye. Someone from a user’s group even posted that it has a flash hard drive, indicating that the device is a PDA rather than a UMPC. Well, just keep an eye out for the ad campaign. The only thing we know for sure is that the device will be launched as part of the VAIO product line.

Here are some screen captures from the video.
