Tecmo Bowl to touch down on Wii in 2009

Heads up, sports fans! We’ve just gotten word that Tecmo will be making a new version of Tecmo Bowl for the Wii. Learn more about this development after the jump!
Here’s a wonderful development for sports fans who own a Wii. Kotaku reports that, aside from a DS version of Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo is working on a Wii iteration of the football series.
According to the report, Tecmo hopes to release the game sometime in 2009. No details yet on what the game will be called, much less what features it will have, but we can be sure that without the NFL license, this game won’t have the brand name stars that are the staple in this type of franchise.
