Terminator Salvation: The Videogame coming May 2009

Warner Bros. and Halcyon Games have sent word announcing Terminator Salvation: The Videogame, a new Terminator game that’ll be released alongside the Terminator Salvation movie next year.
Yeah, movie-based games have a bad rap (mostly because they usually turn out to be horrid piles of cow dung), but here’s the skinny on Terminator Salvation anyway.
The game will be a third-person shooter with players playing as resistance soldier John Connor. All of the enemies in the film will also appear in the game, along with a few made specifically for the videogame.
Launch day has been set for May 22, 2009, the day the film hits theaters. No platforms have been officially announced yet, but all next-gen consoles along with PC and mobile have been mentioned as target platforms before.
GRIN Studios handled development duties on this game, so at least there’s a chance that it’ll turn out alright. GRIN’s Bionic Commando‘s looking pretty fine. Then again, I sort of doubt the Bionic Commando team worked on Terminator Salvation too.
