Test Drive Unlimited Coming to PSP

Atari Games have announced that their upcoming racing game Test Drive Unlimited will be coming to both the PS2 and PSP, in addition to Xbox 360 version.

Test Drive Unlimited for the PSP will feature most of the gameplay features from the Xbox360 version, including endless miles of streaming Hawaiian roads, server-based online play (Infrastructue mode), and over 70 luxury supercars. You will also be able to compete in solo challenges and player-created races. Car upgrades and downloadable content will also be available, presumably through Sony’s ‘Your PSP’ site. The version for the PSP is going to be one of the first ever genuinely online games for the console, making use of wireless and stepping way beyond simple Ad-hoc gaming.

The action in Test Drive Unlimited takes place on the open roads spanning the Hawaiian island of Oahu. In solo mode, players complete challenges and pit their wits against AI opponents to gain points, which in turn unlocks further tests of their skill and open up more of OahuÂ’s diverse tropical road system. Test Drive Unlimited is expected to hit the shelves in Autumn 2006, across 4 formats: Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, and PC.
