Tetsuya Nomura on PS3: “all visions can come true”
Last time we heard of the latest in Final Fantasy‘s core series, Square Enix was rubbing it in how Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be exclusives on Sony‘s PlayStation 3. Other than the new trailer that exploded in mega theaters and word of both games being far from finished, there really isn’t much hinting to a release in the near future. Fortunately, this seems to point out how plenty of effort is being put into the game, as Tetsuya Nomura told Famitsu that he himself is tightly involved in development like never before.
According to Nomura from his recent interview, he’s never been as involved in any Final Fantasy title as he is now, and he’s happy how he can decide how FF Versus XIII will be. Known as a character designer that sky-rocketed into fame after creating the heroes and heroines in Final Fantasy VII, and credited as Kingdom Hearts‘ director, Nomura is at the helm of Versus XIII.
That’s not everything that’s good about FFXIII though, because everyone keeping tabs on the project that’ll spawn three titles know how development looks good right now. Nomura is quite confident with what the PS3 can do, saying “all visions can come true” thanks to the powerful console, and FFXIII‘s visuals are “close to perfection.” Super realistic belts and zippers in a Final Fantasy game? We’re sold.
