Text Viewer v0.1 for NDS

Textviewer_0923

Rich Whitehouse has released his text viewer for the NDS, version 0.1. Here is what he said in the readme:

This is nothing special, just a text viewer for the DS. I was compelled to write one
after being unable to find anything decent.

What you need:
-A flashcart big enough to hold your text files.
-gbfs by Damian Yerrick for appending your text files to the binary. You can obtain
  it here: http://www.pineight.com/gba/
-A way of getting your DS to boot off of said flash cart, which also allows the arm9
code to access the cart’s rom. I personally use wmb and a F2A 256mbit cart.

How to use:
-Make sure you have gbfs, lsgbfs, and padbin somewhere on your path (these all
come with the gbfs package on Damian Yerrick’s site).
-Modify makefs.bat to use your own txt file(s) instead of the provided test ones.
-After fulfilling the above requirements run makefs.bat, if all goes well you
will end up with textviewer_content.nds and textviewer_content.nds.gba files.
-Flash the .gba file to your flash cart, use the method of your choice to get your
DS to run arm9 code off of the cart. This method must support access of the flash
cart’s rom section or TextViewer will not run.

Version 0.1 notes:
——————
-Full touchscreen interface, persistent text bookmarking through SRAM, low power
mode, multiple file support with clean GUI for selecting. Uses a 5-pixel-width
subpixel font to allow greater text density than standard 8-pixel tile fonts.

You can get it from our Download section [here].
