TGS 2006 Genji: Days of the Blade extended trailer
If you’re a sucker for samurai movies and medieval Japan, then we’d like to introduce you to Genji, as he comes back with, quite literally, a vengeance in Genji: Days of the Blade for the Playstation 3.This time around, he’s taking his friends with him, too.
With a story that begins merely three years where we last see our hero in Genji: Dawn of the Samurai, Days of the Blade deviates from its previous historical setting where actual battles of old are re-enacted. This time, developers Game Republic decide to take a gander into the world of fantasy as we begin to see, of all things, a giant crab and several immortals. The game also offers four playable characters whom you could freely swap in and out of battle for combos and massive damage.
The game also makes full use of the PS3’s processors, which results in jaw-dropping light and texture effects, making this game a top contender for the Prettiest Game award.
Also, as a bonus, we also have a short gameplay video which features the female character Shizuka in battle as she dishes out her blade-on-a-whip moves.
And have we mentioned that this game is really pretty?
