TGS 2007: Onechanbara R headed for Wii next year
Bikini-clad girls slashing up zombies in a furious and bloody swordfight – it’s a winning combination, and what the Onechanbara series is all about. First seen on the PlayStation 2 as a budged Simple 2000 title and a full-fledged next-gen slash-em-up on the Xbox 360, the buxom babes have set their sights on a new console, with D3Publisher revealing Onechanbara R for the Wii in TGS 2007. Awesome!
And it’s not going to be just another port, either – as Onechanbara R will be taking advantage of the Wii’s motion-sensing capabilities. The Nunchuk‘s analogue stick moves the character around, C readies your character for combat, holding B and making the appropriate gesture swings the sword around for some gratuitous zombie death.
While it’s not the 1:1 swordfighting game we’ve been waiting for, it’s certainly a dream that many Wii owners have been itching to see realized, and that’s to cut up zombies with a slash of the Wiimote. Updates as we get them, and enjoy the pics from the announcement!
