TGS: Earth Defence Force 3 gameplay and multiplayer videos

Today we have two videos which were recently released at the Tokyo Game Show 2006 for the Xbox 360, and surprisingly they are for the same game. The vids in question are for a completely new title, Earth Defence Force 3, with the first video being a single player gameplay video and the second a multiplayer video. You may not know the background of this game because this is the first time we have posted about it, so here goes.

Earth Defence Force 3 is a 3rd person Sci-Fi shooter/adventure title for the Xbox 360 from developer Sandlot. Although they aren’t the most famous developers from Japan, but don’t let the developer’s name speak for itself – this game has caused a stir at TGS this year.

The game features a lot of alien-bashing and a myriad of giant walking arthropods, flying saucers, and huge orbiting Death Star-style satellites; all of which benefit from the graphical power of the Xbox 360. We’re not 100% sure whether this game will come to the US as at the moment it is only a Japanese title, but if the videos are anything to go by, we want it! Pay close attention to the Co-Op multiplayer video, it may remind you faintly of Halo.
