Following up on Tetsuya Nomura’s numerous other projects, the prolific director has announced that both The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts Re: coded are nearing completion.
Nomura’s The 3rd Birthday announcement basically reiterates earlier tweets from game director Hajime “Taba-chan” Tabata: “Regarding The 3rd Birthday, as Taba-chan wrote here, production is about to enter the final stage. Starting this month, we should release constant information in magazines and the likes, so look forward to it.”
The information to be presented in magazines will reportedly include details on the game’s characters, including those part of Aya’s Counter Twisted Investigation force.
Development on the DS-exclusive Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded is also drawing to a close as Square Enix closes in on the game’s October release in Japan. “KH Re:Coded, which is set for release on 10/7, is almost complete as far as development goes,” Nomura tweeted. “We’re currently working on the packaging and promotions. The approach has changed a bit this time to light taste.”
Both The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded will be part of Square Enix’s Gamescom lineup.
