The art of pwnage: two beat-’em-up vids for Batman Arkham Asylum
You know you’re automatically on the losing team if you’re not the one wearing the cape and mask. C’mon, seriously, Batman needs no introduction when it comes to the art of pwnage. He can whoop your sorry ass like it were jello. As such, two videos today showing lots of pwnage gameplay from Batman: Arkham Asylum. Slow-mo finishing blows? Check. Bone-crunching sound effects? Check! LocoRoco-like muscle physics on the thugs? Che—err, whut?

The first one is rather fun – Batman getting swarmed and throwing out punches and kicks like the Batman that he is. This is how beat-’em-up games should be! Gotta love that bone-smacking sound effect with every hit.
Funny that I should mention jello earlier though. The second video shows just that in two ways: 1) lots of slow-mo finishing blows.. kaaaaa-POW!, and 2) err, the thugs seem to have a bit of a jiggle in the wiggle. It’s like they’ve got LocoRoco complex or something. Especially that thug at the very end! Gave me chuckles. I am so getting this game.
Eidos Interactive and Rocksteady Studios’ Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC is currently scheduled for release sometime this June.
