Dragonball Evolution - Image 1For those who were wondering what the Dragonball: Evolution movie tie-in game would look like… well, look no further. No, really. In fact, I advise you to look away! And here I was thinking the other day “oh, c’mon, how bad could it possibly be?”

…Y’know, sometimes, you’re actually better off with your question left unanswered. *sigh*

Whatever the case, here you go – it’s press release time. Dragonball: Evolution hits retail right in time for the movie: April 2009. As you can see, it’s a fighting game. They’ve taken the live-action actors from Fox’s movie and rendered them into the game.

As with the rest of Namco Bandai‘s DBZ: Shin Budokai games, the gameplay modes are pretty much the same – it’s got Arcade, Training, and Mission. Online battles will also be available. Taking from the movie’s plot, Story mode follows Goku’s quest to his “predestined fight against the evil Lord Piccolo.”

The only thing this game lacks is the spirte of Van Damme in his Guile outfit, circa 1995.
