The Destiny of Zorro slashes to the Wii

Zorro - Image 1Who doesn't know Zorro? The fictional masked hero's signature Z slash is probably one of the most memorable moves of all time.

Well, we'll get to the point. Pronto Games announced several days back that they are currently porting Zorro exclusively on the Wii called The Destiny of Zorro. It is set in California in the 1800s when it was a melting pot for Spanish, Mexican, and Native American influences. Don Diego de la Vega, aka Zorro will battle his arch nemesis Calavera and (what else?) thwart his evil plans.

Storyline is still a bit on the vague side, but we're sure you can fill in the blanks. Zorro will battle Calavera and his troops, a rebel army, a power mad mob boss, and prevent a treasure from being stolen. Quite a handful, huh? The storyline and some plots were inspired by the recent Zorro incarnations, especially the movies.

And (we are happy to note) players will be able to perform Zorro's sword and whip moves using the Wiimote. The Destiny of Zorro is set for release late this year. So for the meanwhile you guys can check out these concept art and screens.
