The devil’s many names: exorcising the WarDevil confusion

The devil's many names...As more press hype and media coverage spills over to bring WarDevil onto the limelight, some people are starting to get a tad bit confused. There’s a WarDevil-this and a WarDevil-that. Let’s just flush out the demons and exorcise all this confusion.

The name of the game is WarDevil, ok? It’s developed by the UK-based studio Digi-guys and will be using their RTE 1080 Engine to run the said FPS on 1080p. That much, we already know.

Clear so far? Now, on to the various names that have been attached to it:

  • WarDevil: Enigma is actually the name of the showcase demo in this year’s E3 and TGS
  • WarDevil: Unleash the Beast Within was the name of the demo in TGS 2005
  • WarDevil Project is the entire thing which includes the demos, the game itself, plus a feature length movie

For those who are still confused about what platform it’s coming out for, it currently stands as a PS3 exclusive. Although it was originally announced for both the PS3 and 360, the developers decided to focus on just one system and gear up for Sony‘s platform.

We’ve been getting quite a number of feedback from our comments section and we hope this was able to lay the devil to rest. More info? Only a matter of time, my friends…
