Remember when we posted that the game’s online feature will be region specific? Here’s why, as revealed by Mike Inglehart of Next Level Games in an interview with ONM:

Wifi in Mario Strikers Charged is region specific so we can ensure a quality gameplay experience. The game is very twitch based and reactive, so itÂ’s important for us to keep lag to a minimum.

It’s good to know that developers are really trying to make the gameplay experience in Mario Strikers Charged top-notch. Inglehart also took some time to reassure gamers that yes, multiplayer is and has always been the main focus of the game.

Our main goal is to ensure a quality gameplay experience so weÂ’ve had to make a lot of design choices that all us to deliver that. WeÂ’ve never had to compromise anything thatÂ’s limited our wifi feature set; this game is about multiplayer and thatsÂ’s been our focus from the beginning.

Mario Strikers Charged is slated for a May 25 European release.
