The future of gaming: Kinect could be stepping stone to virtual sex
I refuse to believe that this is the underlying motivation of Microsoft in developing Kinect, but hey, we can never be too sure. A discussion on MSN’s Play It 4ward involving Major Nelson (Larry Hryb) and Mass Animation’s Yair Landau revolved around the future of gaming, and funnily, how Kinect can totally be the launching pad of the future of virtual sex. Yeah, that got your attention didn’t it? Cover your ears, kids.

The host asked them both what they think is the future of gaming, to which Landau replied:
“Better sex, better drugs, more rock and roll, and more visceral violence. I really hope that Project Natal leads to huge quantum improvement in virutal sex.I think that once you’ve got real motion capture data you can really integrate stuff that doesn’t exist in gaming today. I think the Wii controller is really limited and I really want it to go a whole lot father in all this areas.”
This could be waaaay hotter with Kinect.
As for what the Major had to say about this interesting concept:
“Well it’s certainly a way to sell more Xboxs, we can put one in the bed room. But we are tyring to get the basic technology down first.”
He continues, “I can certainly see where there could be some applications there in the future.”
And with that we’d rather not see, really. You can, however, see the highlarity ensue via the link below.
