With this strategic decision, TGC is entering a strongly growing market and setting the course for the expansion of business activities in the upcoming fiscal year. The company will announce the first console titles very soon with its line-up for 2008.

“The partnership with Nintendo emphasizes TGCÂ’s ambitions as a multi-platform publisher,” comments The Games Company CEO Markus Malti. “I am looking forward to the first projects we are going to realize for the two platforms.”

The Games Company’s status as a certified Nintendo partner will allow it to create content for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe on its own initiative. The Games Company’s transition from PC publisher to console and handheld operator was fueled by the rapid growth in the gaming industry.
