The Legend of Ares: Another Interview with June Lee
The Legend of Ares Lead Designer, June Lee, discusses MGame’s new title with MMORPG.com today. You can learn about the key features of the game in their interview. The Legend of Ares is about the conflict between two nations, the Holy Empire and Religious Alliance, caused by strife amongst the gods. Ares leads the Holy Empire in his attempt to increase his control over the people of Arabic, whereas Kulam leads the Religious Alliance in his efforts to thwart and destroy Ares. Players choose sides amongst the two nations of the Arabic Continent as they war and battle each other for dominance over the heavens and earth.
Both interviews shed light on what’s to be expected in the game, but the MMORPG interview really focuses on the gameplay such as guilds, instances, items, races, and leveling. The interview also lets us know that there’s a closed beta coming up shortly. Feel free to go to their website and sign up.
Here’s a clip from the interview:
MMORPG.com: What sets this game apart from all of the other MMORPGs currently on the market?
June Lee: One of the more unique qualities of the Legend of Ares is the warfare system. While there will still be the normal PvP encounters between players of opposing nations, there will also be a territorial warfare system implemented where players can participate to increase their nationÂ’s size, honor, and abilities. Territorial wars will be organized events where players of both nations will have to sign up to participate. The ultimate goal of the T-wars is, as the name implies, to win areas of the map for each nation. Every area, once controlled, will bestow bonuses on the players of the winning side such as boosts to exp gain, money gain, attack power, and defensive ability. In addition to this, players of either side can also gain bonuses by increasing the number of enemies killed from their rival nation(honor points).
Another type of warfare available to our players will be guild wars. Guilds will be able to officially wage war against other guilds (regardless of their nations) and earn honor points that way. This system will even allow multiple guilds to ally together in their battles against rival guilds.
