The Legend of Mystical Ninja: VC-bound?
Just a quick update for the Virtual Console aficionados wondering what may be coming up. If you guys have heard of Konami‘s other famous shinobi (not the PS3-bound lad), feel free to rejoice as we announce that Ganbare Goemon (aka Legend of the Mystical Ninja for us gaijin) may be sneaking into Nintendo‘s VC line-up in three separate titles.
For those who can’t quite remember, Goemon is a classic Konami title that takes its name from Goemon Ishikawa, a famous Japanese thief (yes, the same fatso from Samurai Warriors).
The game made it as a highly popular action-adventure title outside Japan via one SNES title, two Nintendo 64 titles, and one Game Boy title overseas. Expect to receive The Legend of the Mystical Ninja (SNES), Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon (N64), and Mystical Ninja 2:Starring Goemon (N64), though we’re not sure when these will be coming our, or how much they will cost in Wii points. Just keep a stiff upper lip for now, and wait for a more official announcement.
