It’s time to talk mini-games, folks. With the North American release of LocoRoco 2 just around the corner (February 10th, in case you weren’t aware), producer Tsubasa Inaba should be anything but sad. But how come he is in this picture?

Tsubasa Inaba, LocoRoco 2 - Image 1

That’s because he just got beat in the Loco Rider mini-game in LR2. It looks very fun, up to four players online. Sorta like a sumo wrestling type of game, only with LocoRocos outpushing each other toward the thorns.

And this is but one of the six new mini-games to discover in-game. There’s also that shooter-type one called BuiBui BoooooN!, wherein you shoot down every BuiBui, rescue the MuiMui, and collect the LocoRoco to take them home at the end of the stage. What in the world are BuiBuis? Mean MuiMuis, that’s what.

If you don’t feel like shooting down mean BuiBuis, you can try your hand (or feet!) at the Loco Race. As the name implies, it’s a race game, only, it’s not really you doing the racing. It’s more of a betting type of game, cos here you choose/ guess which LocoRoco gets first place in the race.
The other three mini-games, Tsubasa kept as a secret. That way we’ll have something more to discover ourselves when we get our hands on LocoRoco 2. And you bet I will, as soon as those retail stores open.

Oh, and if you’re wondering how bad Tsubasa was beat in that mini-game, check out the vid here below:
