The Game & Watch series was a line of roughly 59 handheld electronic games made by Nintendo. They each featured a game that could be played on an LCD screen; some of the titles available in this platform are Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mickey Mouse games, Balloon Fight and of course Mario Brothers.
So to pay respect to his childhood, this guy created a Donkey Kong DS mod, since well, Donkey Kong is arguably one of the most known G&W game. This is the second DS mod he has created, the first being a Legend of Zelda DS mod. According to the modder, although Donkey Kong has simpler graphics than that of Zelda, the Donkey Kong mod was harder to create.
The DS console takes an orange color and only the base and the buttons were retained. The end product? A well-crafted homage to a game which most probably shaped a lot of people’s childhood. Let us see if he make a Crab Grab DS mod or a Mario’s Cement Factory DS mod.
