The Pirates of the Burning Sea IRC channel
Here’s a little heads up for the Pirates of the Burning Sea community. Most players might already know that the game has its own official IRC chat channel (it’s been around since 2005, apparently, and grew out of a fan-created chat channel for the game).
For those new players that didn’t know about it, this should be good news. The people running the official PotBS website have decided to once again invite players to join the channel and take part in the discussions that happen there. Here are the channel details for those IRC savvy players who have yet to check out the IRC channel:
Server: irc.coldfront.net port 6667 (7778 for SSL)
Channel: #burningsea
They’ve also posted a useful little how-to on connecting to the channel. If you aren’t familiar with using IRC yet, you can check it out by clicking on the “read” link below. Flying Lab Software‘s Pirates of the Burning Sea is slated for release some time after this month.
