“The PS3 scandal”: Of foreigners and Japanese TV

I am a self-confessed anime freak. I go squeee at all things Japanese, and if I’d be given a chance to hop on the next plane to Japan, I sure would grab it. Getting a chance to be on Japanese TV is another.

Our source, who goes by the name, “nyago” (“getoffmyface” in YouTube) got that chance to be in Japanese limelight when he was asked to be a guest at “Bankisha” (“Reporter TV Program”). Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as expected, as dear nyago was edited out due to his opinion on the PS3.

The segment was about PS3s in eBay, and nyago said that although there are a lot of PS3s in eBay, the numbers aren’t “indicative of demand, and the real prices being paid.” He added that the most expensive unit costs around 1, 200 pounds, which no one has ever bid on. Guess that didn’t sit well with the producers, so they decided to cut it entirely. Of course, that made nyago fume. Go check out the vids to see for you.
