The Show: a hodge podge

Ready for more RTS action? With Supreme Commander, Battlestations: Midway, and Command and Conquer 3 vying for top spots in the PC strategy genre, another one shows up to blow us away.

The Show (yes, that’s really the title) is from Sixteen Tons Entertainment and Take-Two Interactive features some really… uhh, familiar stuff. As far as we can tell from this gameplay trailer, it looks like a melting pot of all the familiar sights from other RTS titles. The scenery bears some resemblance to Warcraft 3, and the giant crystals look eerily like the minerals in Starcraft. Maybe we’ve just played too many RTS-es (or just this particular writer) but it looks like a hodge podge of dismembered RTS parts. (We could swear we saw a Reaver back there.)

Anyway, you can judge for yourself. We also have a German cinematic trailer for this so you guys can enjoy it as well. For those who can understand it, we’d love to know what the host was saying.
